Attendance- Arriving to school on time each day is very important for a smooth transition into class activities.  Each late arrival disrupts the entire class.  Classes begin promptly at 9:00am.  If you know ahead of time dates and reasons for which your child will be absent from school please write us a note.

Allergies-  Please make sure you have informed the office and ourselves if your child is allergic to anything.  Epipens may be required and proper paper work will need to be filled out.

Birthdays-  Because our new reality, please contact me before sending treats to celebrate birthdays.

Communication- Throughout the year, we hope we will be able to have many opportunities to communicate. The best way to reach me is through email.  Please note that sometimes we can’t always respond immediately.    So If you need to change after-school arrangements for your child, please phone the school since we may not see your email in time.

Donations- Throughout the year there are items that we tend to need and go through quite a bit. If you would like to help us out here are a few things we are always looking for:  prizes for the prize box, small and large ziploc bags, books, games, USB key.  Thank you!

Emergencies- Please make sure that the office has the correct contact information in case of an emergency.

Helping At Home- Parents often ask how they can help their child at home be prepared for school and the first thing we suggest is helping to foster a sense of responsibility, while still giving your child as much support and guidance as he/she needs.   As for homework, please communicate with us if homework is a struggle and causes a lot of frustration.

Indoor Shoes- Students must have a pair of indoor shoes at all t     times that differ from what they wear outside to play. This will help to eliminate any dirt, mud, rocks, and water that may be tracked   in.  Please note that appropriate running shoes will be required for Gym classes.

Just Ask! -  Questions, comments, concerns?  Please come to us first if you should have any. We are excited to work as a team to make your child's grade five year the best it can be!

Library (on Thursday) and Class Books- Students will have a chance to borrow books  (class books and library books) to take home.  Please take care of these books as it can become costly if they become lost or damaged.

Money- When sending in any payments please place all money and forms (if required) inside a sealed envelope or Zipploc bag.  Your child's name and reason for the money should be written on the envelope.

News- Visit my website and consult the Google classroom of Mrs March to know the activities and due dates.

Read! Read! Read! - The best way to support your child's learning  is to take 20 minutes each night (even weekends) to read a book   (one night in French and one night in English).  It can be you reading to your child or your child reading to you and  sometimes even both!

Water bottle- Students are encouraged to have their own refillable water bottle at all times. We will send them home regularly to be cleaned.

Geneviève
